National Day Of Prayer Praise Report May 1st 2008

Thank you for the donations and prayer coverage that you gave for The First Coast -National Day of Prayer Event!  To God be all the Glory!  God was exalted and well pleased with the heart cries of His People, though there were areas we were challenged. From the reports that are still coming in, it was victorious in many ways!

PRAISES TO REPORT:

*GROUND TAKEN FOR THE KINGDOM OF GOD—We had the 5 county prayer event in the Jacksonville Municipal Stadium – the home for our football games. According to those who have gone before us, this was the first time the stadium was rented for a Christian event by a Jacksonville based ministry.

*Approximately 225 churches and ministries participated

*Over 75 pastors attended the Pastors’ Prayer Time from 5-6pm

*Over 70 ministries participated in the Ministry and Marketplace Fair from 4-6pm

*Favor in goods and services from the community totaled over $64,200

*Approximately 3,000 people attended throughout the day’s events

* Participation grew in all areas of the event

* The Children’s Drop In Prayer Stations from 4-6pm were a great success with over 17 prayer stations, 2 fire trucks, a police car and inflatable for jumping fun

* Radical Youth Worship and Prayer was an amazing time for youth, hungry for God to come together and love on our Heavenly Father. During the worship and intercession for life, a painting by a local youth artist was completed. It was of an unborn baby, held in a large hand, with serpents coming up the arm.

* Flyers were translated into Braille for the first time and given to the Florida Convention of the Blind

* The entire service including worship was translated by signing (ASL)

* Programs were translated into Spanish and Russian this year and pre-service prayer were prayed in both languages

* The main corporate prayer service was held in the south end zone of the football stadium from 4-6pm

* 4 radio stations invited us before NDP to do interviews live on the air

* 1 local TV station- Channel 4 News- did live footage of NDP on the 5 PM and 6PM news and then showed some of the event at 11PM

* An Eagle flew over 2 times at the beginning of the service.

* 1 beaches newspaper did a write up on NDP before May 1.  The newspaper with the largest circulation –The Florida Times-Union put the NDP event on the front page of the Metro section on Friday after NDP

* One new ministry was birthed from contacts at National Day of Prayer

* Approximately 70 people responded to Jesus at the altar call – hungrily seeking more of Jesus, receiving healings from past wounds, crying out for repentance, and praying for “the Church of The First Coast” to come together for our Father’s purposes

*14 confirmed first time salvations and more reports continue to come in that could confirm as many as 20 salvations

*Countless physical, mental, emotional and spiritual healings took place including one person delivered from drug addictions and another healed from cancer cells, and confirmed by doctors

* Atmospheres have changed at library meeting locations and salvations took place

* Many new friendships and ministry efforts have been birthed from The Body coming together

*Over 60 key Task Force members from over 40 churches in our community worked together as a great interdenominational team for the past year, growing in our love of Jesus and our love for each other

* The worship team consisted of almost 100 members representing over 30 churches

* 54 dancers participated in worship from 9 ministries

* The Task Force promoted, assisted, and prayed for the 5 local National Day of Prayer events in the The First Coast

* Great appreciation and favor has been given by our government officials in The First Coast as we develop relationships with the people God has placed in authority

* One of Duval county public schools, Terry Parker High School, and Providence School both held prayer services on National Day of Prayer, one at the flag pole before school

* One woman reported seeing angels walking through the ministry table area looking at the hearts of those standing with the tables. They seemed to enjoy what was on display. One of the salvations took place in this area. The complete spiritual account is below.

* We are attending each other’s churches for special events and helping The Body know of all God is doing in The First Coast

Thank you for your support and prayer coverage!

Spiritual Account As Witnessed At The First Coast Main Event

This account is written as given to us, Susan Alberti, NDP First Coast Coordinator and Deborah Fisher, NDP First Coast Liaison, a couple of days after the main event, which was held at the Jacksonville Municipal Stadium. One intercessor described angels that were observing the happenings and the hearts of the people; as well as seeing angels ministering throughout the service. When the Marketplace and Ministry Fair was opened prior to the prayer and worship service, there were angels walking through the ministry table area looking at the hearts of those standing with the tables. They seemed to enjoy what was on display. Of the two dozen or so first time salvations, one of them took place in this area!

During worship (when the dancers entered the field) she saw a large cherubim angel appear behind the set up of speakers and he was holding a balance. Looking through the wings of the angel, she saw the Father sitting on His throne with His arms resting on two living creatures. The angel held the balance up before the Father and she saw that one bowl held worship and the other bowl held intercession.  Wondering if the balance held judgment for our city; she silently voiced her concern about what was taking place. Then she heard God laughing! God said, ‘Today I have judged your enemies.’ Though he had seen sin and selfish motives in the hearts of some, He was only moved by the true worship and the hearts of His people coming into unity for their city.

The unique thing about the dancers being on part of the field was that boundaries were set by the stadium, which we needed to observe and make sure they were adhered to, yet God is not limited to. It was the exact moment that the dancers were worshipping (on the wrong part of the field) that God showed up. Man cannot close Him in, though it can sometimes be costly to allow Him to have His way. He wants to bring us past our point of limitation and into freedom in Him. (God made His statement during this period of time and this is where we experienced the most warfare.)

Towards the end of the service, she had been directed by the Lord to go into the area of the Marketplace and Ministry Fair, where she witnessed people starting to leave the stadium. Then compelling words were heard, drawing them to come to the altar. As the invitation was made under the anointing of the Holy Spirit, a flash of God's passionate fire came down into the tunnel and many turned around and literally ran back inside to the field. The presence of His Glory was tangibly present and almost impossible to resist.
